a little more about lara...
My design story began at Central St. Martins, where I studied Fine Art and graduated with a first class degree in 2008. For the following six years I worked for a leading international art dealer. There I learnt, from my front row seat, about today’s art market - its likes, loves, distastes and forces - and had the opportunity to design exhibition catalogues and dedicated brochures for standout pieces.
Today I am a freelance illustrator and designer. I work out of my home studio in North West London and I take on all manner of commissions, from personalised stationery to event invitations, maps, menus, original drawings, digital prints and art catalogues. I love it when a client comes to me with a concept, however vague or particular, that we can then develop and realise together. It is for this reason of creative flexibility that I’m conscious that my work is not defined by any one particular style, although my signature draughtsmanship is free-hand, using a combination of water-colour, pen, ink and pencil.
My corporate clients include fashion brands, textile retailers, art dealers and party planners, the rest of my time I devote to clients’ private projects. I do hope you enjoy my website and please do not hesitate to contact me with enquiries.
